Cantina Francesco Maggi’s summer before the harvest

In August, the air of harvest begins to breathe for us. As with every vintage, it will be a crucial time that will see us engaged in the meticulous harvesting of the grapes of some of our grape varieties and then in the winemaking processes in the winery. Summer, however, is also made up of convivial moments, and in this regard, in July we participated in Convivium and Broni by Night.

These are two food and wine events of our Oltrepò, Convivium in Golferenzo and Broni by Night, in Broni, clearly. 🌌

Convivium takes place in the medieval village of Golferenzo. the very name – Convivium – already makes it clear that it is a “banquet,” which in this case is under the open sky, in the streets of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Held every year, it is an occasion to celebrate the culture of good wine, the work of the producers, the value of our territory, namely the Oltrepò Pavese, and the beauty of this very picturesque place that attracts visitors in every season. During the event, the whole village comes alive with music, stands, wine and food tastings, and among the wineries that participated was ours.

As we had anticipated on our social pages and on the events page of our website, this evening was organized on July 28 in Golferenzo by theSaXbere Association.

Convivium Golferenzo

Our wines, specifically, were associated with the dishes prepared by L’Olmo Napoleonico Restaurant .

In Broni, however, the wines of our Francesco Maggi Winery were among the protagonists of a magical dinner under the stars on July 16. We also brought our newest wine, Riesling Renano Follia, to the tasting. In this case, the dinner with our wines and several appetizers delighted the palates thanks to the collaboration with the historic Pasticceria Civardi.

What can I say, these moments are always special! 🥂🥂

… The suspicion is that we will make more 😄
