The people of Pavia know that their city’s Covered Bridge is one of Pavia‘s most beloved symbols.
🌉This historic and mysterious bridge over the Ticino River is
- 🔗 a connection between the old town and the “Borgo Ticino” district.
- 🫶 a meeting place for groups of friends and between engaged couples
- 📸 a monument to photograph and and from which to photograph beautiful views of the river
- 🌫️ a place shrouded in ancient legend (do you know it?) … and often by a thick fog
- 🎊 an event location–outdoors but with a roof overhead–used so come rain or shine.
Wine Stories 2025
Right here, as in previous years, the“Wine Stories 2025 ” event was held in October: a tribute to the wines of the area and an opportunity for wine lovers to learn about and taste the wines of Oltrepò Pavese.
We also spent the day-a beautiful, warm fall day-at our booth, with our wines and the many visiting wine enthusiasts.
Of course, Buttafuoco Storico Vigna Rogolino-the new entry from Cantina Francesco Maggi-was there, ready to show itself visually as well, thanks to the author label-and none other than an author from Pavia,artist Stefano Bressani!
